Every home has gained a dozen devices in recent years, and each one brought its cable. Phone, tablet, watch, earbuds, speaker, remote. Nobody planned this, and that is why the mess won. Whoever sees the opportunity here is not the person who wants to tidy their own desk: it is the retailer who realised that a problem everybody has, and which costs pennies to solve at source, is the very definition of a fast-turnover product.
What the cable organiser and the charging station are
It is less a product and more a family that solves the same pain from different angles. The charging station gathers several ports into a single device and kills four plug adapters. The wireless charging dock serves phone, watch and earbuds at the same time, and has become a bedside table item. The organiser box swallows the power strip and the spare length of cable. And the clips and raceways hold the cable to the edge of the desk for an almost symbolic price.
None of them is difficult technology, and that is precisely the point: they are products with mature manufacturing, low cost and immediate visual appeal, which the end customer grasps in two seconds looking at the packaging.
Models and variations
"Cable organiser" is not one single product. In the aisles of the Chinese trade fairs it is a whole universe, and each line opens up a different shelf and a different price in your business:

Why this is an opportunity for Brazil
Brazil has bought electronics like never before over the last decade, and the cable came with them. Home working has become permanent, the desk set-up has become a topic, and the tidy home has become content that spreads on its own across social media. It is a product with a broad audience and no season: it sells in the home office, the bedroom, the living room, the car and as a gift.
- Timing: the typical lead time from China to Brazil is 60 to 120 days. Anyone buying now is building the shelf for Black Friday and Christmas, the two dates when this product explodes as a cheap gift. Buying in October means arriving late.
- Low cost, good resale: it is one of the products with the best ratio between cost at source and shelf price, because the customer pays for the solution, not for the material.
- Efficient freight: light, stackable and small in volume. Freight per piece is low, which preserves the margin and lets the sums work even in a shared container.
- Easy private label: the packaging is half the product here. With your logo and a good insert card, a generic item becomes a branded line.
Before importing: the line splits in two. The purely plastic organiser (box, clip, raceway) has low regulatory friction. But everything that plugs into the mains moves up a level: chargers and stations require INMETRO certification and the plug has to be the Brazilian NBR 14136 standard, and models with wireless charging require ANATEL approval. This is where the whole batch gets held if the specification is not defined beforehand. See the products that require INMETRO and how inspection before shipment works.
Put your own brand on it
This is a product in which private label (OEM) makes a disproportionate difference, because the item itself is simple and the perception of value lies almost entirely in the presentation:
- Your brand on the product and on the box: logo, colour and finish to your standard, with packaging that sustains the price on the shelf.
- The right mix: number of ports, power, cable included or not, and the combination of models your audience is looking for.
- A kit instead of a single piece: putting the box, clips and ties together in an organisation kit is one of the simplest ways to raise the ticket without raising the cost.
That calls for direct negotiation with the factory and a validated sample before the batch. BCVN finds the right manufacturer, closes the customisation and guarantees the product arrives within the standard.
It is worth understanding how this works in practice before requesting the first sample: the guide on own brand in China: private label, OEM and ODM explains the difference between the three models and what each one changes in the minimum order and the lead time.
Where to buy cable organisers in China
The line crosses two worlds, that of electronics and that of home organisation, and for that reason it appears at three different fairs, all of them in October:
- Canton Fair, Phase 1 (Electronics): from 15 to 19 October, this is where the manufacturers of chargers, stations and wireless docks are.
- Canton Fair, Phase 2 (Home and Decoration): from 23 to 27 October, it covers the home organisation side, from boxes to desk accessories.
- Yiwu Trade Fair: from 21 to 24 October, the kingdom of small commodities, ideal for anyone wanting variety and impulse pricing at volume.
The itinerary the dates draw: all three fall in the same fortnight and lie close to one another. Canton Phase 1, then Yiwu, and back for Phase 2 is an itinerary that covers the whole line in a single trip. See the complete calendar of Chinese trade fairs 2026 and the comparison between the Canton Fair and the Yiwu Trade Fair.
It is also worth looking at the home organisation products, which complete the same shelf and the same customer.
Not every good business is an impressive product. This one is the opposite: a banal, cheap item that solves an annoyance nobody defends. It is that very banality that drives the turnover, because the customer does not need to be convinced, only to see. For the importer, the decision is not whether it sells, it is buying from the right manufacturer, with the certification in order and the packaging that turns a generic item into a brand.
Frequently asked questions about importing cable organisers
What is a cable organiser and a charging station?
It is the family of products that solves the mess of wires: the charging station gathers several USB ports into a single device, the wireless charging dock serves phone, watch and earbuds at the same time, the organiser box hides the power strip and the spare length of cable, and the clips and raceways hold the cable to the desk. They are cheap items that solve a daily irritation, which makes them impulse products with a comfortable margin.
Do cable organisers and chargers imported from China need INMETRO and ANATEL?
It depends on the item. The purely plastic organiser (box, clip, raceway) has low regulatory friction. Anything that plugs into the mains, though, moves up a level: chargers and charging stations require INMETRO certification, and the plug has to be the Brazilian NBR 14136 standard. Models with wireless charging, which emit radio frequency, require ANATEL approval. It is the point that separates the batch that gets through from the batch that gets held.
Can I import only a few units of a cable organiser?
No. BCVN is an import consultancy for retailers and companies, and this is a low-ticket product: the sums only work at volume, because freight and customs clearance are spread over thousands of pieces, not over dozens. That is exactly why the margin is good for whoever buys at scale. Anyone who wants a few units should buy from a distributor in Brazil.
